Feathered Edge is a Rito weapon, meaning you’ll find it most commonly in the Tabantha Region, particularly around the Tabantha Frontier. There is an enemy camp near Tabantha Frontier where you’ll find enemies wielding the sword. It can also be looted from a chest in Rota Ooh Shrine.

Flameblade

Icon Base Attack Durability Buff
Breath_of_the_Wild_Elemental_Swords_flameblade_icon.png 24 36 Fire damage

The flameblade is a fire elemental weapon found in treasure chests in the following shrines:

The weapon can be used like a regular one-handed weapon but it also does additional burn damage and can also make fires and roast food! It can burn spikey vines and dried leaves, melt ice and light campfires.

Forest Dweller’s Sword

Icon Base Attack Durability Buff
Breath_of_the_Wild_Korok_Wooden_Sword_Forest_Dweller_sword_icon.png 22 27

The Forest Dweller’s sword is a korok weapon and is made of wood, meaning it can be set on fire. This is useful if you don’t have a torch and need to transfer fire from A to B, but it will destroy your weapon if you leave it aflame for too long. It also means the weapon will burst into flame if you equip it in the hot regions around the Eldin Region. It can be found in Great Hyrule Forest but also looted from Kah Okeo Shrine and Shora Hah Shrine.

Frostblade

Icon Base Attack Durability Buff
Breath_of_the_Wild_Elemental_Swords_frostblade_icon.png 20 30 Frost damage

The Frostblade is an elemental weapon that does frost damage. The weapon can be found in treasure chests in the following shrines:

It can be used to temporarily freeze enemies, leaving them incapacitated for a few seconds. It also offers some heat resistance when equipped!

Gerudo Scimitar

Icon Base Attack Durability Buff
Breath_of_the_Wild_Gerudo_Swords_Gerudo_Scimitar_icon.png 16 23 Can be used to forge Scimitar of the Seven

The Gerudo Scimitar is a one-handed Gerudo weapon. It is a pretty common weapon found around the Wasteland region, but can also be looted in treasure chests in Kay Noh Shrine, Dako Tah Shrine and Kema Zoos Shrine. The weapon itself is pretty weak but it can be used to make the Gerudo Champion weapon Scimitar of the Seven.

Goddess Sword (amiibo)

Icon Base Attack Durability Buff
Breath_of_the_Wild_Gerudo_Swords_Gerudo_Scimitar_icon.png 28 45 Amiibo exclusive

The Goddess Sword is a Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword weapon but can be placed into Breath of the Wild using the Skyward Sword Link amiibo. Once the amiibo has been activated, the sword will appear in a random chest in the world.

Guardian Sword

Icon Base Attack Durability Buff
Breath_of_the_Wild_Guardian_Blades_Guardian_Sword_icon.png 20 17 Increased damage to Guardian enemies

The Guardian Sword is dropped by minor/weak Guardian Scouts. It can be found commonly in shrines, especially Minor Test of Strength shrines, such as Ta’loh Naeg Shrine.

Guardian Sword+

Icon Base Attack Durability Buff
Breath_of_the_Wild_Guardian_Blades_Guardian_Sword_plus_icon.png 30 26 Increased damage to Guardian enemies

This is an upgraded version of the Guardian Sword, and is exclusively dropped by Guardian Scouts found in Modest Tests of Strength shrines, such as Namika Ozz Shrine and Muwo Jeem Shrine.

Guardian Sword++

Icon Base Attack Durability Buff
Breath_of_the_Wild_Guardian_Blades_Guardian_Sword_plus_plus_icon.png 40 32 Increased damage to Guardian enemies

This is the strongest iteration of the Guardian Sword, and is exclusively dropped by Guardian Scouts found in Major Tests of Strength, such as Kema Kosassa Shrine and Hia Miu Shrine.

Knight’s Broadsword

Icon Base Attack Durability Buff
Breath_of_the_Wild_Knights_of_Hyrule_Weapons_Knight_broadsword.png 26 27

This weapon is a pretty common sword found across Hyrule, and you’ll frequently find enemies like Bokoblins, Lizalfos and Moblins wield this weapon. You can also loot one from a chest in Yah Rin Shrine and Kaya Wan Shrine.

Lynel Sword

Icon Base Attack Durability Buff
Breath_of_the_Wild_Lynel_Sword_icon.png 24 26

Lynel Swords are exlcusively wielded by Red-Maned Lynels, which is the weakest Lynel enemy in the game. Most Lynels you’ll come across early in the game will be Red-Maned, but they’ll upgrade as you grow stronger. However, the Lynel at Ploymus Mountain will always remain a Red-Maned Lynel so you can return there if you specifically want a Lynel Sword.

Master Sword

Weapon Base Damage Durability Buff
BotW_Master_Sword_Model2.png 2-30 (attack power is reduced as the weapon’s durability is used up) Technically infinite but you’ll need to recharge it after 40 hits. Double damage to Calamity Ganon, can deflect laser beams and it’s also unbreakable (yay!)

This weapon is found in the The Korok Forest but requires a bit of work to wield it. For more information, head over to our guide on how to get the Master Sword.

The main advantages to using the Master Sword is that it doesn’t ever break and also deals 2x damage to Calamity Ganon. Though it doesn’t ever break, when you’ve drained it’s durability, you’ll need to return to Korok Forest to pick up the sword again. When it’s durability is reduced, the attack power will reflect this, so when it’s at max durability the weapon has an attack power of 30, but as you use it over time it’ll reduce down to a minium of 2 attack power. When you pick up the sword from Korok Forest after it breaks, the attack power is replenished. So keep this in mind when you’re preparing for battles!

Mighty Lynel Sword

Weapon Base Damage Durability Buff
Breath_of_the_Wild_Mighty_Lynel_Sword_icon.png 36 32

This weapon is wielded by Blue-Maned Lynels, one of which can be found at the First Gatehouse in Hyrule Castle. Other Lynel enemies in the wild will scale up as you get stronger but the Lynel at the Gatehouse will always stay a Blue-Maned Lynel!

Moonlight Scimitar

Weapon Base Damage Durability Buff
Breath_of_the_Wild_Gerudo_Swords_Moonlight_Scimitar_icon.png 25 32

The Moonlight Scimitar is a Gerudo weapon, therefore you’ll find it is quite common in the Wasteland Region and Gerudo Town. You can also loot it from chests in Suma Sahma Shrine and Dako Tah Shrine.

Royal Broadsword

Weapon Base Damage Durability Buff
Breath_of_the_Wild_Royal_Broadsword_icon.png 36 36

The Royal Broadsword is a weapon found in Hyrule Castle. When you’re a lower level, they’re quite rare, but in the late game you’ll find them being wielded by Silver Bokoblins and Golden Bokoblins. And if you’re a higher level, you can also loot the treasure chests in Sha Gehma Shrine and Shoqa Tatone Shrine (if you’re a lower level, the chests will likely contain lower level weapons as the rewards in chests sometimes scale).

Royal Guard’s Sword

Weapon Base Damage Durability Buff
Breath_of_the_Wild_Royal_Broadsword_icon.png 48 14

This weapon is found in Hyrule Castle, and is wielded by a few higher levelled enemies but can also be found in behind a breakable wall in the Castle Armory. It is a strong weapon, as the lore says it’s an attempted replica of the Master Sword, but it is also extremely fragile and breaks after only 14 hits. Save it for big fights!

Rusty Broadsword

Weapon Base Damage Durability Buff
Breath_of_the_Wild_Rusty_Broadsword_icon.png 6 8

These weapons are found all over Hyrule, especially near ruins where rusty weapons are found in abundance. They’re super fragile so they aren’t a great weapon. However, Rock Octoroks will suck up Rusty Broadswords when they’re placed in front of them, spitting back out a new, shiny version!

There’s a 50% chance for a Traveler’s Sword, 35% chance for a Soldier’s Broadsword, a 10% chance for a Knight’s Broadsword, and a 5% chance for a Royal Broadsword.

Savage Lynel Sword

Weapon Base Damage Durability Buff
Breath_of_the_Wild_Savage_Lynel_Sword.png 58 41

This is one of the strongest weapons in the game, and it’s durable too! However, they are only obtained through defeating Silver Lynels, White-Maned Lynels and Golden Lynels. These Lynels are late game enemies, meaning you’ll need to be a higher level before you can find any of them. A Silver-Maned Lynel can be found in Coliseum Ruins.

Scimitar of the Seven

Icon Base Damage Durability Buff
Breath_of_the_WIld_Gerudo_Champion_scimitar_of_the_seven_icon.png 32 60

The Scimitar of the Seven is the Gerudo Champion weapon obtained from Riju after defeating Divine Beast Vah Naboris. It is a very durable weapon but if you do break it, you can forge it again by talking to Buliara in Gerudo Town and giving her 1 diamond, 5 flint and a Gerudo Scimitar.

Silver Longsword

Icon Base Damage Durability Buff
Breath_of_the_Wild_Silver_Longsword_icon.png 22 30

Silver Longswords are Zora weapons, meaning they’re fairly common weapons found across the Lanayru region, and especially in and around Zora’s Domain (there are two to be found in Zora’s Domain).

Soldier’s Broadsword

Icon Base Damage Durability Buff
Breath_of_the_Wild_Soldier_broadsword_iocn.png 14 25

This sword is a pretty common weapon, especially when you’re early in the game. It can be found in abundance in Hyrule Fields and enemies occasionally wield them too.

Thunderblade

Icon Base Damage Durability Buff
Breath_of_the_Wild_Elemental_thunderblade_icon.png 22 36 Shock damage

This is an elemental weapon which does extra lightning/shock damage. The weapon can be found in treasure chests in the following shrines:

Enemies inflicted with shock damage will be stunned and drop any metal weapons they may have equipped.

Traveler’s Sword

Icon Base Damage Durability Buff
Breath_of_the_Wild_Traveler_sword_icon.png 5 20

The Traveler’s Sword is one of the first weapons you’ll likely encounter. It’s a super low-levelled weapon and is fairly weak both in damage and durability. You’ll find one in the Bokoblin Camp on Great Plateau, which is one of the first areas you’ll head to in your playthrough. You’ll quickly find better weapons though and you won’t be interested in picking these weapons up after a couple hours of gameplay.

Zora Sword

Icon Base Damage Durability Buff
Breath_of_the_Wild_Zora_Sword_icon.png 15 27

This sword is a Zora weapon (as the name suggests) and can be commonly found in Zora’s Domain and the surrounding area. You can also loot a treasure chest in Dow Na’eh Shrine.
