★★★★☆☆☆☆☆☆ Electric Wizzrobe x1, Water Octorok x2

Floor 9 pits you against an Electric Wizzrobe, along with two annoying Octoroks. Hopefully you’ve got some good practice with fighting Wizzrobes!

Strategy

With your limited arsenal, the Wizzrobe can be slightly intimidating, but your first objective should be to exterminate the two pesky Octoroks. As soon as you teleport in, there’s an Octorok slightly to the right that will start shooting at you.

If you’re quick, shoot it down with an arrow or chuck a bomb at it. But if you think you’re not fast enough, you could use Cryonis to create an ice pillar between you and the Octorok. Then casually shoot it/bomb it while quickly moving out from cover.

(1 of 2) Next, shoot an arrow at the Octorok to the left of the Wizzrobe.

Next, shoot an arrow at the Octorok to the left of the Wizzrobe. (left), If the Wizzrobe hasn’t seen you, head across to its island. (right)

Next, look to the left of the Wizzrobe. You should spot a second Octorok, who’s hiding right now. Try to shoot it with an arrow, but make it snappy because the Wizzrobe may notice you. If you’ve been spotted by the Wizzrobe, wait for the Wizzrobe to come to your island, then prepare to fight it.

Otherwise, quickly swim across to the island where the Wizzrobe is. Alternatively, you can cast Cryonis between the islands, then hop across the ice pillar(s) if you’re worried about being electrocuted along the way.

When it’s time to fight the Wizzrobe, the main thing to watch out for is the Wizzrobe’s long periods of invisbility. Keep your eyes focused on the magical ripples in the air, created when the Wizzrobe “steps” in the air. This will allow you to keep track of its movements.

(1 of 2) Use Fire Arrows or Bombs to stun the Wizzrobe.

Use Fire Arrows or Bombs to stun the Wizzrobe. (left), Once the Wizzrobe is dead, grab its weapon. (right)

As soon as the Wizzrobe re-appears, shoot it with a Fire Arrow or throw a bomb towards it. Once it’s hit, it’ll be stunned for a while and (if blasted by a bomb) drop to the floor. If it’s close enough, whack it with melee weapons. When the Wizzrobe croaks, definitely pick up the Lightning Rod it drops.

Before leaving this floor, if you have time and need arrows, there’s a floating treasure chest to the left of the entrance, between some rocks. You can swim next to it and push it towards one of the rocks, then open it when you’re standing on the side of a rock. Or use Cryonis underneath it to lift it up.
