Seren Morgan-Roberts

This page will offer a walkthrough on the DLC side quest EX Treasure: Garb of the Winds. This hidden treasure is apart of the second DLC, which is available by purchasing the Expansion Pass for Breath of the Wild.

How to Start EX Treasure: Garb of the Winds

To begin this quest, you’ll need to find clues to the whereabouts of the treasure chest. The clues are given to you by Misko’s Journal, found in Deya Village Ruins in Deya Lake. You can easily travel to it by fast travelling to Dueling Peaks Tower and heading southwest. Then, you’ll find the journal with the clues within the ruins of a house. The journal will give clues to this treasure as well as the following:

EX Treasure: Garb of the Winds Location

Once you’ve read the journal, you’ll be give the clue that “the blue garb of the hero who controlled the wind and traveled the ocean is where the Menoat River was born”. Menoat River begins at Cora Lake, which is just south of Lake Tower, near Faron Woods. Once you’re at Lake Tower you’ll be able to glide down towards the lake, and the chest you’re looking for is in the water next to the rocks to the far west side of the lake.

After you’ve landed on those western rocks, you’ll be able to use Magnesis to highlight the chest. Unfortunately, you can’t quite reach it from the rocks, so you’ll need to use Cryonis to freeze some water and then climb up onto those blocks to then use magnesis to grab the chest and place it on the rocks. Once you’ve pulled it out the water, you’ll be able to loot the chest to pick up the Island Lobster Shirt, which offers heat resistance.

(1 of 4) The Treasure is located near the western side of Cora Lake.
