★★★★★★☆☆☆☆ Stalnox x1

This is the first boss floor of the Final Trials. Your opponent is a dreaded Stalnox–a Hinox that’s well past its best before date.

Strategy

When you enter this floor, the Stalnox will already be active–and it’ll have noticed you. Quickly shoot an arrow at its eye or apply Stasis and then shoot its eye. If successful, the Stalnox will fall on its butt, giving you a chance to safely inflict damage. You can charge up a spinning attack with the Dragonbone Boko Club, for instance.

(1 of 2) When the Stalnox has fallen down, whack it with a strong melee weapon.

When the Stalnox has fallen down, whack it with a strong melee weapon. (left), After taking enough damage, shooting its eye will make its eyeball fall down. (right)

After the Stalnox stands up, move back and repeat the same process as before. When the Stalnox takes a few hits to the eye, it’ll start to shield its eye when you raise your bow–at this point, you must Stasis before shooting. While Stasis is recharging, just run around; the Stalnox isn’t particularly fast.

After dealing enough damage, the next time you shoot the Stalnox’s eye, its eyeball will fall to the ground. The eyeball will remain there until the Stalnox recovers and picks it back up. When the eyeball is on the ground, focus your attacks on it to finish off the Stalnox. Otherwise, shoot its eye to make the eyeball drop again.

(1 of 2) Don’t forget to pick up the three elemental weapons!

Don’t forget to pick up the three elemental weapons! (left), Also, grab the 5 Ice Arrows from the buried chest. (right)

Next, go over to the two broken skull structures near the corners. If you see metal crates, detonate or drop them from a height to grab the arrows within. Otherwise, if there aren’t any noticeable crates, go behind the structure and yank the chest in the ground with Magnesis for 5 Ice Arrows.
