When you start, you can take the flying carpet at the beginning to get to the four spinning platforms, where you can reach the pole. However, you can bypass that whole thing by simply Long Jumping to the pole from the starting platform. Once you get to that area, head to the first seesaw and jump up to the next platform, where you might have to wait for the swinging platform. This will lead you to some donut blocks, which slowly fall after standing on them for a few seconds, as well as another seesaw.

(1 of 2) You can Long Jump to the pole from the starting platform

You can Long Jump to the pole from the starting platform (left), The donut blocks will fall if you stand still too long on them (right)

Once you reach the upper donut blocks, you will have to watch out for a flamethrower on the side. Keep moving in the same direction and you will eventually reach a wooden slope with small ledges. Climb up the slope via those ledges, where you will find one more swinging platform. There is one final flamethrower right before the final platform with the star.
