This level is only available when the Fast Foe Comet is in orbit. This comet will spawn randomly but only become available after completing The Secret Undersea Cavern.
During comet levels, if you lose a life, you’ll need to begin at the start of the level again, making these levels more challenging than usual.
Speedy Thwomps and Tox Boxes
This level is almost identical to the second half of The Secret Undersea Cavern level, in which you have to navigate the path covered in Tox Boxes and Thwomps, as well as a tricky spinning platform section. The biggest difference is that everything is sped up, making it harder to navigate the path safely. The Thwomps will slam down much faster, and the Tox Boxes roll around much speedier.
The spinning platforms and concrete blocks over the waterjet are also more challenging as they move faster, too. At the end of the spinning platform section, there is also another Tox Box rolling around, which will likely take you by surprise and get a cheap squash in (and you’ll have to begin again).
Other than the sped up enemies, the path to the Power Star is nearly exactly the same, so you shouldn’t have too much of an issue once you’ve adjusted to the speediness. When you reach the end, you’ll need to break the crystal to release the Power Star, just like in the previous level.
