You can find the Basilisk on the Djose Highroad and it is one of the more fearsome fiends in that area. While its normal attack is nothing, it has access to a skill called Stone Gaze, which can petrify a single character. Petrify is one of the more annoying ailments, since they will be removed from the battle if struck with a physical attack (they shatter). Note that if multiple characters are alive, it will always use Stone Gaze as its first attack and it will never use the move if there’s only one character alive. Kimahri can learn the Stone Breath Ronso Rage by using Lancet on a Basilisk.
