Strategy

Ironclad has the highest HP out of all the Area/Species Creations, plus it is armored and has a pretty high defense, to boot. Despite the high defense, though, Celestial Weapons will work wonders to bypass it, although you still need to worry about the armored status. Thankfully, while it has high resistance to Armor Break, it is still susceptible, so a Frag Grenade or Auron’s Banishing Blade will get rid of the armored status. Unfortunately, it is immune to Power Break, so there’s no way to mitigate its damage, other than upping your own Defense and casting Protect.

The Ironclad has three attacks, one of which is called Reppageki. While it can use this normally, it will also counter any attack on it with the move; it’s only a quick sword strike to a single character. On its turns, after using Reppageki, it will use Bushinzan, a move that hits all characters, damaging both HP and MP. After that attack, it will use Shinryudan against the character with the highest current HP; this attack just does damage and is its strongest attack. As already mentioned, all of the attacks from Ironclad are physical in nature and with a high enough Evasion stat, Reppageki should never really hit you (the attack you will see the most).
