Kimahri is another guardian of Yuna’s and is very protective of her, very rarely leaving her side. He is not someone who speaks very often, and often never puts trust into people he meets for the first time. Kimahri is a member of the Ronso tribe and despite his size, he is on the smaller side for his clan, while also sporting a broken horn.
Kimahri is a bit of an oddball, as he doesn’t have a clear path on the Sphere Grid, meaning the player is open to choosing how to build him. It is possible to put him on the path of any other character, except for Auron, once you have the appropriate Key Spheres. He can become a Black Mage, a White Mage, or even go down Rikku’s path, a good while before she joins the party. The choice is yours.
Kimahri starts out in the middle of the Sphere Grid, with not many stat/ability nodes being there. This is to make it so you can send him down any other character’s section, meaning that Kimahri is a bit of a blank slate. One suggested build for Kimhari is to send him down Rikku’s section, as that gives you earlier access to both Steal and Use, although you could also send him down Tidus’ section for another character with his abilities. There is also an option to go down Lulu’s section to make another Black Mage, as well as going down Yuna’s route to give someone else access to healing abilities and buffs.
