The Lv. 2 Key Sphere allows you to unlock Lv. 2 locks on the Sphere Grid. These are usually blocking access to later sections of someone else’s section on the Sphere Grid, as well as some stat boosts. You won’t get your first Lv. 2 Key Sphere until you defeat Spherimorph in the main story.
