The Puroboros is a fiend that is found in the Omega Ruins, and is always found in packs of three of them. They follow all of the other Bomb-like enemies in the game, as they start out by doing normal attacks on a single party member. The Puroboros will grow in size after being hit, causing it to change its attack to Firaga. Once it has grown two times and attacked a third time, it will then Self-Destruct, hitting a character for 2,500 damage. Ifrit can be used against these, since all of their attacks are fire-based. Also, Doublecast will not make it grow in size.
