Yelan is a 5-Star Hydro-based character who wields a Bow. This page will show you all her talents, constellations, and ascension table as well as her best builds, best weapons, and best artifacts.
After a short time out of combat, Yelan will enter a “Breakthrough” state which will cause her next Charged Aimed Shot to have decreased charge time. Once charged, she can fire a “Breakthrough Barb” that will deal AoE Hydro damage.
Elemental Skill
Lingering Lifeline
Tapping or holding the skill button allows Yelan to move rapidly using her Lifeline, marking opponents along her path. When her rapid move ends, the Lifeline will explode, dealing Hydro damage to marked targets. This has a chance to reset her “Breakthrough” state, based on the number of opponents marked.
Elemental Burst
Depth-Clarion Dice
Creates a wondrous dice that deals AoE Hydro damage which aids Yelan in battle. The dice will follow her around and initiate a coordinated attack when your active character uses a normal attack, and each time that her Lifeline explodes and hits opponents.
When Exquisite Throw conducts a coordinated attack, it will fire an additional water arrow that will deal 14% of Yelan’s Max HP as Hydro DMG. This effect can trigger once every 1.8s.
3
Beware the Trickster’s Dice
Increases the Level of Depth-Clarion Dice by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
4
Bait-and-Switch
Increases all party members’ Max HP by 10% for 25s for every opponent marked by Lifeline when the Lifeline explodes. A maximum increase of 40% Max HP can be attained in this manner.
5
Dealer’s Sleight
Increases the Level of Lingering Lifeline by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.

Winner Takes All
After using Depth-Clarion Dice, Yelan will enter the Mastermind state. In this state, all of Yelan’s Normal Attacks will be special Breakthrough Barbs. These Breakthrough Barbs will have similar abilities to normal ones and the DMG dealt will be considered Charged Attack DMG, dealing 156% of a normal Breakthrough Barb’s DMG. The Mastermind state lasts 20s and will be cleared after Yelan fires 5 arrows.
Yelan is best played as a Support/Sub DPS as her sustained DPS isn’t quite as high as other characters. This means she’s best used for her Elemental Burst as this persists even when she isn’t active. For this reason, it’s best to equip her with gear that gives her Energy Recharge.
As mentioned above, you’ll mainly be using her for her Elemental Burst: Depth-Clarion Dice, so naturally, that should be your priority. After that, focus on her Elemental Skill: Lingering Lifeline for some extra damage. Lastly, her normal attack: Stealthy Bowshot, but only bother with this if you’re going to be making use of it.
It’s no surprise that the weapon released alongside Yelan is the best for her. The Cleansing Form will increase your HP by 16% even when she isn’t on the field! It’ll also increase her damage by 20%. With her artifact set, you’ll want to use the full Emblem of Severed Fate set as this’ll give you 20% Energy Recharge with the 2-Piece, and Elemental Burst damage based off 25% of your Energy Recharge up to 75%.
The Cleansing Form: HP is increased by 16%. When there are opponents nearby, the DMG dealt by the wielder of this weapon is increased by 20%. This will take effect whether the character is on-field or not.
Windfall: CRIT hits have a 60% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12s.
Daylight’s Augury: Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst DMG increased by 12%. After a Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst hits an opponent, 1 stack of Ashen Nightstar will be gained for 12s. When 1/2/3/4 stacks of Ashen Nightstar are present, ATK is increased by 10/20/30/48%. The stack of Ashen Nightstar created by the Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst will be counted independently of the others.
When an Elemental Skill makes contact with an opponent, the party members attack is increased by 20%, as well as their Shield Strength for 30% for three seconds.
