How to Unlock Lunar Realm
Lunar Realm is unlocked by completing the quest “The Moon has Risen” which can be accepted from the Event menu.
The Lunar Realm event has seven missions in total, with only one available from the start. Each subsequent quest will unlock every day after.
Day 1 - Master of the Bait-and-Fish!
For this challenge, you’ll have to catch as many Sweet-Flower Medaka’s as you can in the time limit, which is 120 seconds. This challenge is extremely easy, and you can use any fishing rod you have, including the starting rod. You’ll need Fruit Paste Bait to get them on the hook. Sweet-Flower Medaka’s are the pale orange color of the Medaka family, and once you get them on your hook, they’ll come pretty easily.
To stay in the ideal tension gauge, hold in the hook button until you’re roughly in the middle of it, then keep tapping at it to stay there, releasing it if the gauge goes to the left or holding it if the gauge goes to the right. After a couple of seconds, you’ll have one. To make it easier on yourself, aim the bait to land just in front of the direction the Medaka is going.

Day 7 - Reeling in the Moonlight
To unlock the final challenge, you need to complete the final quest: Over the Moon.
For the final challenge, it gets a bit tougher. The Moonfin have quite a bit of stamina, and the tension gauge is all over the place, and a bit on the small side. Equip the Moonstringer that you received from the Over the Moon quest as well as the Gloamgrass Bait. The Moonfin are the small blue fish at the fishing point and have a curved fin. Throw your hook in, and you’ll have to be patient for them to bite, it can take several bites before you hook the fish. Like always, stay inside the tension zone by tapping the hook button slowly when you’re inside it, then either releasing the button if the fish goes to the left or holding it if the fish goes to the right. When you complete this challenge, you’ll get some more dialogue from Kujirai, and Paimon.
