How to complete Maid-in-Training
To begin this quest, go to the Quest menu, then go to the Story sub-menu and then go to the second page. This is where you will find all the Hangout Events in the future. Click on Noelle and confirm, a popup will now appear and ask if you want to spend two story keys to unlock “Chivalric Training”, confirm that, and you’ll get the first quest. To earn Story Keys, you need to complete eight daily commissions.
What are daily commissions?
Daily commissions are the purple quest icon in-game. You get four every day, and they reward you with 250 Adventure EXP for each quest as well as a small amount of Primogems, after eight of these commissions are completed, you’ll receive a story key. The quests themselves are normally short, defeat enemy type quests.
Use the Timeline to plan the path you want to take.
Head to near Mondstadt
Walk up to and head southwest along the path, you’ll see Noelle to get her to start walking and then trail behind her as she talks to you standing there, as you get nearer to her, she’ll call out for you, approach her, and you’ll get a scene. It seems that she wants to ask you for some guidance about her training to become a Knight, you’ll have a couple of choices, but they all lead to the same outcome, she’ll eventually say…“I… If it’s not too much trouble… could I ask you for some guidance on my Chivalric Training?” This’ll lead to two choices:
“You know… it’s okay not to be a knight.”
If you answered with this choice, head to Branch 1-A.
“Of course, where do you want to start?”
If you answered with this choice, head to Branch 1-B.
It appears that she wants to be a Knight so that she can help people with bigger problems because at the moment she is relegated to minimal tasks, eventually she’ll say to you…“That’s why I’ve always wanted to become a real knight of Favonius, to have the power to help more people!” This’ll lead you to a lot of choices, but they all lead to the same outcome, so pick whatever interests you the most. She will then tell you to head back to Mondstadt so you can start training.
All of Life is Training - Follow Noelle
Walk up to Noelle to get her to start walking and then trail behind her as she talks to you, as you get to the crossroads, someone will shout for help, Noelle will run off to help the stranger in need, approach her, and you’ll get a scene.
The stranger will explain that he’s a traveling Merchant trying to procure some of Mondstadt’s reputed wine, but on his way here, he got attacked by savage monsters. He seems suspicious, but you’ll give him the benefit of the doubt for now and eventually Noelle will ask you to handle the monsters whilst she tends to the stranger.
Go to the crossing and appraise the situation
Go southeast along the path and four Hydro Slimes will appear from behind a destroyed wagon, defeat them and the objective will update.
Report back to Noelle and Alois
Head back the way you came and talk to Noelle and you’ll get a couple of choices, they both lead to the same outcome so choose whatever you like, Noelle will then ask you if you’re hurt and another two choices with the same outcome will pop up, again, answer what you like, and eventually you’ll agree to take him to Mondstadt. This will complete the quest and a new quest “The Art of Hospitality“ will become available.
Noelle will ask your opinion as senior Knight about her training, she says that she keeps up with her maidly duties as well as her knightly exercises, “But training progress has been a little slow…, answer with any of the choice as they both lead to the same outcome, and then eventually she’ll say…“I’m actually incredibly busy every day. It’s just that… I always feel like something’s missing.” This’ll give you two choices:
“What you lack is strength!”
If you chose this answer, stay on Branch 1-B.
“What you lack is rest.”
If you chose this answer, head to Branch 1-C.
Branch 1-B - continued
She’ll tell you that she’s thinks she’s pretty strong, and you’ll ask if she can show you. This will end the quest and start a new quest “Noelle’s Strength”.
She doesn’t sound as pleased with the idea of rest as she has way too much work to get through, you explain to her that rest is an important part of training as it allows you to reflect and progress on your goals, after some more dialogue she’ll suggest having some tea. This’ll end the quest, and you’ll get a new quest “Fleeting Leisure”.
