By
Scott Peers

The Sikatag Lightroot in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is located almost directly beneath !Rito Village, which is in the Hebra Mountains region of the Surface map. However, to reach it easily you’ll need to first find the "Rito Village Chasm" iconRito Village Chasm, which is well hidden through a small cave just beneath the village. We’ll show you exactly how to reach it on this page.

How to Reach the Rito Village Chasm in Zelda TotK

If you haven’t been to the Rito Village in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom yet, you can check out our page on How to Fix The Broken Bridge to Rito Village first. Alternatively, you can use "Hylian Pine Cone" iconHylian Pine Cones on the fire near the broken bridge to create a gust of vertical wind, which you can then use to paraglide onto the platforms which lead to the village. Either way, once you’re there you need to look for the "Gatakis Shrine" iconGatakis Shrine, which is the starting point for our guide to reaching the "Sikatag Lightroot" iconSikatag Lightroot.

Where to Find Rito Village Chasm Near Gatakis Shrine

Once you’ve discovered the Gatakis Shrine, be sure to interact with it to mark it as a fast travel point so that you can easily reach !Rito Village in the future without having to fix the broken bridge or use any pine cone tricks. Now, as you’re standing in front of the shrine, turn southeast and head towards the cliff edge. You need to jump off here and use your "Paraglider" iconParaglider to fly into a small cave opening just to your left. You can see this cave opening in the images and video below, just in case you’re having trouble locating it.

How to Get to the Sikatag Lightroot in TotK

Lightroot Under Rito Village

Once you’re inside the Rito Village Chasm, there isn’t much else to do here other than jump into the depths through it. You don’t need to open your Paraglider as soon as possible here, so you can freefall for a bit here until you near the bottom. You can use the light from the "Poe" iconPoes at the bottom of the chasm to give you an indication of when it’s time to open your Paraglider, and as you enter the main part of the Depths you should see the dim light of the mostly unlit Sikatag Lightroot. As soon as you spot this, open your Paraglider and fly towards it.

If you want to see this whole process played out, you can check the video below!
