By

Once you make it through the "Fire Temple" iconFire Temple in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom, you will face Marbled Gohma. This is a boss that has appeared in other forms in past Zelda games and resembles a large spider with four powerful legs. You will need to dodge his feet and rock bombs in order to survive the fight. The guide below goes over how to knock "Marbled Gohma" iconMarbled Gohma down so that you can damage him in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom.

How to Knock Down and Defeat Marbled Gohma in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom

When you enter the room with Marbled Gohma, you will need to shoot Yunobo down the middle of the room so that he rolls up to the ceiling and hits the rocks in the center. This will awaken the Fire Temple boss, Marbled Gohma. This is a rather easy boss fight, and in fact, it is one of the easiest bosses in the game once you learn Marbled Gohma’s weakness. Once Gohma is awake, he will drop down to the floor, and if you are near one of his legs, he will stomp down, sending out a shockwave. To avoid this attack, stay a safe distance back. When you aren’t close to Gohma, he will spit out three rocks that will explode after a short while. The blast range is small, so just keep back, and you won’t be hurt by them.

You can damage Marbled Gohma by hitting his eye with an arrow, but to take him down quickly, aim !Yunobo at his legs. When !Yunobo connects a hit, the leg will shatter. Do this twice, and Gohma will fall to the ground. Climb up on top of his head and hit him until he gets up. You will want to jump off right as he rears back to launch Link off of his body. Do this until his health bar is down halfway, and then he will switch to his second phase, which is arguably easier than the first.

(1 of 3) Aim Yunobo at Marbled Gohma’s legs to knock him down.

In Marbled Gohma’s second phase, he will attach to the ceiling. All you need to do is shoot !Yunobo down the center of the room to hit one of his legs and quickly knock him back down to the floor. When he hits the ground, he will be stunned, so climb back on top of him and attack his eyeball. Once he is ready to get up, jump off, and he will climb back onto the ceiling. He will now attack by throwing three larger exploding rocks at Link. Just keep moving. These aren’t hard to dodge. If you aim !Yunobo right, you can easily bring him down each time he gets back on the ceiling before he has a chance to attack you.

Once the fight is done, grab the "Heart Container" iconHeart Container and watch the cutscene where !Yunobo awakens as the Sage of Fire. Afterward, the Rock Roast will disappear, and you will be moved back to Goron City. You will now be able to summon !Yunobo to fight alongside you and break any rocks that might be in your way while you are exploring the rest of Hyrule.
