The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

True Treasure Walkthrough - Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

By
Jarrod Garripoli

There are plenty of side quests in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and !Zora’s Domain will have quite a few of them. One such side quest is "True Treasure" iconTrue Treasure, where you learn of a blessed stone that was hidden away within a sacred shrine. This page will detail how to get to that sacred shrine and obtain the blessed stone from within it.

Speak with Kodah to log this side quest.

Where to Start True Treasure in Tears of the Kingdom

As with the majority of the side quests in Zora’s Domain, you will need to wait until after you’ve completed the Water Temple, before they become available. Upon clearing that dungeon, you can head to !Zora’s Domain and speak with Kodah in the inn portion of the domain. Kodah found some text about a treasure, over at Tarm Point. Their daughter, Finley, upon hearing about the treasure, went straight there and her friend, Sasan, also followed. Kodah isn’t too worried about the daughter, but is a bit worried about Sasan, so they want you to go there.

Where to Find Tarm Point in Tears of the Kingdom

Kodah mentioned you’ll be going to Tarm Point, which is southeast of the Lanayru Great Spring area on the map. In fact, it’s the cape that is still connected to that landmass. You will want to go to the top of Tarm Point, where you will find a hole in the ground. Drop down that hole to enter "Tarm Point Cave" iconTarm Point Cave, where you will find Sasan standing there. He promised to help Finley, but she’s a Zora and is able to get across the water easily, while he’s stuck on this side, due to being a Hylian.

(1 of 4) Look for these ruins at Tarm Point, as that is where you need to go.

So, now the goal is to get across the water inside the cave with Sasan. Before doing anything, pay attention to the water to see that it is rising and falling, which is both a good thing and bad thing. The reason it’s bad is that there are pointed rocks underneath the water, and they will be revealed as the water subsides. That’s a problem, as you don’t have a lot of room to maneuver here and it’s easy to hit the rocks. Should you roll over the boat enough, then you will scare Sasan and have to start from the beginning.

Thankfully, you don’t need to build a boat, as there’s one already here. If you have a Zonai Fan in your inventory, you could use it, but it might be better to not use it, due to the small size of the cave. That means you will want to use a "Korok Frond" iconKorok Frond attached to a stick, both of which you will find on the ground, off to the side. If you don’t see a frond there, grab one from your inventory. Speak to Sasan and tell him “it’s rafting time,” whenever you’re ready to go. He’ll sit on the raft and you can then hop on, then use your manual fan to start moving across the water.

The best thing to do is to stop in between each set of rocks, wait for the water to rise, then move in between the next set. Go too fast and you risk getting stuck on some rocks, where you might trigger Sasan getting too scared and forcing you back to the beginning. Once you reach the end, the game will take over at this point for a brief cutscene, with Sasan meeting back up with Finley. This will be the end of the side quest, and Sasan will give you an "Opal" iconOpal for your troubles.

(1 of 5) Speak to Sasan whenever you’re ready to start going across the water.

However, you will discover the "Yomizuk Shrine" iconYomizuk Shrine here, in this cave. Feel free to activate the shrine and go inside, where you will get the Rauru’s Blessing pop-up, meaning you don’t have to do any puzzles. Open the chest for a "Diamond" iconDiamond, then head to the altar to get the "Light of Blessing" iconLight of Blessing. After getting out of the shrine, you can find a spot in the cave to use "Ascend" iconAscend to leave it.
