The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom has tons for you to do, including the longer side adventures that you can find scattered about the land. "Hateno Village" iconHateno Village has its very own massive quest line where you take part in the Hateno mayoral election. In order to start the mayoral election, Link will have to do several quests. The guide below goes over how to start The "Mayoral Election" iconMayoral Election quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom.

Starting the Mayoral Election in Hateno Village.

How to Start The Hateno Mayoral Election

If you want "Cece" iconCece and Reede actually to start the election, then you’re going to need to complete a ton of quests surrounding the pair. Here are the quests you will need to complete to trigger The Mayoral Election quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom.

Once you have completed the five quests above, speak with "Sophie" iconSophie at the clothing shop while it’s clear weather. You just need to tell her to start the election, and a cutscene will play where Cece and Reede have their secrets put out in the open, and both finally start to get along. After the cutscene completes, Cece asks you to visit her at her shop. Go inside and speak with Cece to get the unique headwear, "Cece Hat" iconCece Hat. It gives Link a one-of-a-kind look and has good stats. On top of that, some trendy NPCs will make small comment when Link is wearing the hat. Please note that this item can’t be upgraded by the Great "Fairy" iconFairy so wearing it in to temples or head battles may not be in your best interest.

In addition, the clothing store in Hateno Village will reopen for business. You will also notice the "Goddess Statue" iconGoddess Statue for Hateno will now be decorated. After this quest, be sure to speak with "Mayor Reede" iconMayor Reede in the field near the clothing shop to complete Homegrown in Hateno. This will unlock a new item that Link can cook.
