The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

How to Tow Wagons With Your Horse in Tears of The Kingdom

By
Jessica Dillon

You can do quite a few things to make your life easier when exploring Hyrule. One of these things is using a "Towing Harness" iconTowing Harness to transport things like building supplies to different areas. The Towing Harness is an important feature that you will want to grab right away. Figuring out how to use the towing harness in Tears of The Kingdom is quite confusing. The guide below goes over how to equip your horse with a towing harness and pull a wagon in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom.

How to Get The Towing Harness in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom

The first thing you will need to do is acquire the Towing Harness by getting three Pony Points. These can be acquired through registering a horse, visiting a stable for the first time, and staying the night at a stable. By the time you have a horse and have registered it at a stable, you will have two points. All you need to do after this is stay the night to gain three without even having to travel. Once you have your points, go to the ledger on every stable counter’s right side of the counter and choose to redeem your points. A Towing Harness will then be added to Links’s key items.

This is a permanent Item that you will be able to use at any time by visiting a stable. Keep in mind that it does slow your horse down, and using a wagon will make getting to places much slower.

How to Use The Towing Harness in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom

Once you have the Towing Harness, you will need to speak with the NPC who is running the stable you are currently visiting. YOu will see an option pop-up to customize your horse. Select it, and you will be asked if you want to equip the Towing Harness. Once the Harness is equipped, you will need to place your horse near the wagon you wish to use. Use "Ultrahand" iconUltrahand to fuse the wood block to the cart, and your horse will now be able to pull it along behind you. Keep in mind that the cart won’t take rough terrain well, and choosing a bad path can cause unfused items to fall out or the cart to tip over. It will likely take you a bit of practice to learn how to steer the cart on long journeys without hiccups.

If you want to remove the harness, you will need to go to a stable again. Simply choose to customize your horse, and if the Towing Harness is equipped, you will be asked if you want to remove it. If you are summoning or taking out your horse, you will be asked if you want to remove the Towing Harness. Getting a Towing Harness is an essential part of the game, as without it, you won’t be able to gain access to the Great Fairies sprinkled across the land. This will bar you from being able to upgrade your armor.
