By
Jarrod Garripoli

There are many pieces of equipment to find in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Some of these pieces of armor belong to a set, with there being multiple pieces per set. One such set is the Fierce Deity set, which can be found if you fully explore the map, or you can grab it as part of a side quest, "Misko's Treasure: The Fierce Deity" iconMisko’s Treasure: The Fierce Deity.

Where to Find the Fierce Deity Armor in Tears of the Kingdom

You will be heading to the "Akkala Citadel Ruins" iconAkkala Citadel Ruins (Map Marker), which is located just southeast of the "South Akkala Stable" iconSouth Akkala Stable on the map. If you have the "Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower" iconUlri Mountain Skyview Tower unlocked, then teleport to that and travel southwest to the stable. Note that the "Mayachideg Shrine" iconMayachideg Shrine is also close to the stable, as another point of interest. Either way, look for the large ruins atop the mountain next to the stable, which is where you will be going. Some "Bokoblin" iconBokoblins can be found on the way, especially if you locate and take the main path, but you don’t need to bother with them.

At the top, you will find the ruins, but you will want to be careful here. There is a set of "Gloom Hand" iconGloom Hands lurking about, whenever you get close enough, so you want to keep a look out for those here. These things are fast and hurt a lot, and if you’re coming here towards the beginning of the game, it’s best to leave them alone. However, they have one huge weakness, in that, they cannot move vertically, so you can easily dodge them by climbing one of the broken walls in the area. Do this and wait until the Gloom Hands disappear.

(1 of 3) Some !Gloom Hands will be lurking about the area

Once you’re in the clear, you will be looking for a small hole in the side of one of the walls, which leads to a small cave. You’re looking for the little area that has the biggest portion of the red carpet. Upon finding the small hole, crouch walk through it to find a giant hole in the ground. Drop down the hole to see the altar with the "Fierce Deity Armor" iconFierce Deity Armor inside it.

Where to Find the Fierce Deity Mask in Tears of the Kingdom

The mask will be located at "Skull Lake" iconSkull Lake (Map Marker), which is located in the northeastern portion of the map. It’s easy to locate, as the lake is in the shape of a skull. The right eye on the map is a tall pillar, with an entrance to the "Skull Lake Cave" iconSkull Lake Cave being at the top. You can either glide down from above, or if there’s a piece of debris that’s fallen from the sky, use "Recall" iconRecall while standing on it to get the needed height. Upon entering the cave, you will have to fight through some "Stalkoblin" iconStalkoblins.

(1 of 5) Glide down to the tall pillar to find the entrance to the cave

Eventually, you will reach a rock wall that you can blast open with a "Bomb Flower" iconBomb Flower, or break it open with a hammer-like weapon. On the other side will be a larger room, with more enemies, including a "Stalnox" iconStalnox. Target the eye to stun it, then keep whacking on it to reduce its health. Repeat this process until it gets low enough on health, where its eye will come out of its socket and flop around on the ground. You will need to destroy the eye before you can truly defeat the Stalnox for good. Upon clearing the area of enemies, climb the pillar in the middle of the room to find the altar with the chest that contains the "Fierce Deity Mask" iconFierce Deity Mask.

Where to Find the Fierce Deity Boots in Tears of the Kingdom

The final piece on this list will have you journeying to the "Mount Daphnes" iconMount Daphnes area, which is southwest of "Lookout Landing" iconLookout Landing. Specifically, there is a small body of water there, with a rickety-looking wooden bridge there (Map Marker). This will lead to a large tree stump that you can enter, so do that to find a series of roots. The Bubbulfrog is hidden among the roots, but to get the piece of armor, you need to drop to the very bottom. If you see a "Like Like" iconLike Like hanging from one of the roots, then you are in the right spot.

(1 of 5) Look for this wooden bridge and hop into the tree trunk

While facing the Like Like, turn around and move away from it, until you see some vines covering an opening. Go through this opening and climb the vertical root in this room, until you can reach a ledge. Take a break to replenish stamina, then locate the next ledge and climb up to that. There will be yet one more ledge to reach from the second spot, where you will find another vine-covered opening. Slice your way through it to reach the altar with the "Fierce Deity Boots" iconFierce Deity Boots.

How to Get the Fierce Deity Sword in Tears of the Kingdom

(1 of 2) Return to the !Cephla Lake Cave with the equipment on to open this door

Return to the !Cephla Lake Cave with the equipment on to open this door (left), Past the door will be a chest with the !Fierce Deity Sword (right)

Once you have all three pieces of the Fierce Deity armors, return to the "Cephla Lake Cave" iconCephla Lake Cave (Map Marker). Put all three pieces of the armor on Link, then enter the cave to witness a cutscene. The one weird wall you saw earlier will now open, revealing another altar that has the "Fierce Deity Sword" iconFierce Deity Sword on it.
