Where Are the Wells - Locations in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

By
Scott Peers

The Where Are the Wells? side quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can be acquired from the NPC named Fera, who is first encountered in the Riverside Stable Well, before moving on to Lookout Landing after you speak with her.

Fera the Well Enthusiast

"Fera" iconFera will ask you to find a total of 58 wells throughout Hyrule, and she’ll give you 10 Rupees for each one that you visit and tell her about. We’ll show you where to find each of the 58 wells on this page, with links to out interactive map markers and database entries for each well.

Where Are The Wells will span the game, as you need to find all 58 wells.

Where to Find All 58 Well Locations in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

The table below details the locations for all 58 wells that can be found in Hyrule. You’ll need to visit each one of them and return to Fera to receive 10 Rupees for each cave that you visit, which means you can earn a total of 580 Rupees just for visiting each well. However, there are plenty of opportunities to increase the amount that you earn by finding "Purple Rupee" iconPurple Rupees in some of the caves that the wells lead to, and also by mining the ore deposits that can be found in most caves. The ore deposits have a decent chance to drop gems such as "Ruby" iconRuby and "Sapphire" iconSapphire, but they will also drop other items such as "Rock Salt" iconRock Salt.

In addition to earning Rupees in various ways by exploring the caves beneath most wells, you will also find plenty of useful items such as "Brightbloom Seed" iconBrightbloom Seeds, "Brightcap" iconBrightcaps, and "Bomb Flower" iconBomb Flowers. There are also creatures such as "Sticky Lizard" iconSticky Lizards, "Sticky Frog" iconSticky Frogs, "Glowing Cave Fish" iconGlowing Cave Fish, and others which are commonly found in the caves beneath wells. Finally, some cave systems beneath wells contain more than just resources, such as the "Deya Village Ruins East Well" iconDeya Village Ruins East Well, which contains a "Stone Talus" iconStone Talus boss and the "Susub Shrine" iconSusub Shrine. There are other surprises that you may encounter in caves in the form of specific enemies, and you can check each database page for a brief glance of what to expect in each one.

You will find that most of the wells can be accessed easily by jumping down into the water below, but for some you may need to use the "Paraglider" iconParaglider to avoid fall damage if there’s no water below. Note that some of the well entrances are blocked by rubble, but in most cases you can find another entrance through a different well nearby, which often lead to the same cave systems. You will notice this in particular will wells that share a common prefix, such as the "Deya Village Ruins" iconDeya Village Ruins wells or the "Hateno Village" iconHateno Village wells. There are some wells which don’t lead to caves, but instead serve as entrances to the Depths, such as the "Rowan Plain Well" iconRowan Plain Well.

Reward For Finding All 58 Wells in Tears of the Kingdom

You may be wondering what you’ll get as a reward for finding all 58 wells for Fera. Unfortunately, the answer is very little. You get a small snow globe item called "All's Well" iconAll’s Well, which currently has no gameplay value. The main reward for this comes in the form of all the things you can find in the caves that you visit beneath the wells.

(1 of 3) You need to speak with the well enthusiast named Fera to begin the Where Are the Wells? side quest.
