The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

How to Complete the Siyamotsus Shrine

By
Jarrod Garripoli

Some of the Shrines in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will not contain a puzzle within them, as just getting to the shrine is considered a puzzle. These are marked with Rauru’s Blessing upon entering, and will just have a chest right in front of you, as well as the Light of Blessing. That brings us to the Siyamotsus Shrine, which fits both criteria (sort of) and is the focus of this page.

Siyamotsus Shrine is found on South Lomei Castle Top Floor, the sky version of the ground labyrinth.

Where to Find the Siyamotsus Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom

The "Siyamotsus Shrine" iconSiyamotsus Shrine is a brethren of the "Motsusis Shrine" iconMotsusis Shrine, meaning that you will find it at one of the Lomei labyrinths. However, unlike the latter being on the Surface, this shrine will be found in the Sky. In fact, it will be found at the entrance to the South Lomei Castle Top Floor. These sky labyrinths are a little trickier to get to, compared to their surface versions, since there’s not as much solid land up there. You will find the labyrinth directly above the surface one, though, so it won’t really be hidden.

Before you think about going for this Shrine, you might want to look into getting a few extra Zonai devices, just in case. Both Fans and Rockets are extremely useful, with the former being available from both dispensers on Great Sky Island (southern is closer to a shrine), and the latter being available from the cross-shaped island’s dispenser in the South Hyrule Sky Archipelago. You will also want to make sure you have some stamina-replenishing food on hand, since you might be doing a long glide to the maze’s structure.

(1 of 5) You’re heading to the lower island just to the right of Link in the picture.

Once you think you have the necessary preparations, head to the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower and launch from it. You’ll be gliding to the island to the east, which is where you will find the Rakashog Shrine, so if you have that, you can just fast travel to it. Look down below to spy another island, which is where you will be going. You’ll know you’re in the right spot if you see three floating platforms, one of which will have two !Rockets on it. One of these will be sticking straight up and already attached, so leave that alone and make sure the other remains unattached.

Hit the platform to boost straight up into the air, then attach the second rocket at a 45-degree angle. This will get you closer to the sky labyrinth, while also giving you some more air. Now, this is where having some extra Zonai devices will come in handy, as you can use either of the ones mentioned above to get closer to the maze. Of course, you can also just start gliding and replenishing your stamina with food, as well. Upon reaching the labyrinth, the shrine will be right out in front, so go ahead and head inside it.

Unlit Blessing - Siyamotsus Shrine Walkthrough

When you enter the shrine, you will see what appears to be the usual Rauru’s Blessing, but something is a bit amiss. There will be some "Fire Fruit" iconFire Fruits on either side, right before the chest, which contains a "Strong Construct Bow" iconStrong Construct Bow. There will also be an "Arrow" iconArrow x10 to the left of the chest. Approach the altar for the "Light of Blessing" iconLight of Blessing and the floor will rotate, where you’ll see the true nature of the shrine. There will be two unlit torches you have to hit with fire arrows, which the shrine was kind enough to supply you the items for doing such a thing.

(1 of 5) There are some Fire Fruits by the entrance, inside the shrine.

One unlit torch is to the bottom right, and the other is to the upper left, both directly across from the ones already lit. Once you light both of these, the pedestal with the chest will move, revealing a piston. Stand on this to be launched high into the air, then glide down to the altar to grab the Light of Blessing.
