By
Jessica Dillon

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom is full of surprises around just about every corner. One of the most surprising is that Zelda has a small house in the Hyrule countryside that you are able to visit near the start of the game. Exploring this house unlocks a special quest to get the Champion’s Tunic and gives you some more insight into how Zelda lived her life. The guide below goes over where to find Zelda’s House in Tears of The Kingdom and how to start the quest to get the Champion’s Tunic.

Zelda has moved into Link’s house in Hateno Village.

Where Is Princess Zelda’s House In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom?

Once you are able to reach Hyrule, you can go right to "Princess Zelda" iconPrincess Zelda’s house, located in Hateno Village. If you played The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild, you will know this as the village where Link could build a house. In fact, the house Link built is canon, but instead of him living in it, Princess Zelda has moved in. The house can be found near the top of the town, across the wood bridge, near the colorful houses. You can go inside the house and up the stairs to the right to read Princess Zelda’s diary. This diary tells you that there is a secret room that Zelda likes to hide in.

How To Get To The Secret Room

To get to the secret room, go back out the door and around the side of the house. You will see a well, jump down into it, and you will find a secret room with another diary and a treasure chest. The diary tells you that you can obtain Link’s Breath of The Wild armor set, the Champion’s Tunic, from the Throne Room in Hyrule Castle. You will also want to open the treasure chest to your left as it gives you the hair tie, the "Well-Worn Hair Band" iconWell-Worn Hair Band, that Link wore in the prequel.
