The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Unknown Sky Giant Walkthrough - Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

By
Jarrod Garripoli

There are numerous side quests in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, some of which will require you to fight monsters. There is a set of sidequests that can be started in Lookout Landing, where you’ll have to hunt down a specific boss monster. This page will detail where to find the Flux Construct I for the Unknown Sky Giant side quest.

Unknown Sky Giant is part of the second set of monster elimination quests.

Where to Start Unknown Sky Giant in Tears of the Kingdom

If you did the Wanted side quests, then you will be pleased to know that the Unknown monster side quests will start from the same NPC. That means you will be going to "Lookout Landing" iconLookout Landing again, to the "Emergency Shelter" iconEmergency Shelter, to be precise. Of course, you will need to have completed all three of the Wanted monster quests first, before "Gralens" iconGralens offers the second set. There will be three different Unknown monster quests, too, so you can grab them all at the same time.

Where to Find the Flux Construct for Unknown Sky Giant in Tears of the Kingdom

The second set of monster extermination quests will mix things up a little bit, as all three of the monsters for the first set were on the Surface. There will be one monster in the Sky, another on the Surface, and the third in the Depths. For this side quest, you will be going to the Sky, specifically, the Hebra Mountains Sky area. The easiest way to get there is via launching from the Rospro Pass Skyview Tower. Once you do, use the little islands and floating platforms, with the Balloons, to get high enough that you can glide to the island with the boss.

(1 of 2) You can use the platforms with the Balloons on them to reach the boss.

You can use the platforms with the Balloons on them to reach the boss. (left), If you have the Ijo-o Shrine, you can just drop down to find the island with the monster. (right)

Alternatively, if you already have the "Ijo-o Shrine" iconIjo-o Shrine active, you can fast travel to that, as it’s literally just above the island with the "Flux Construct I" iconFlux Construct I. Just go to that shrine, search over the side for a spot to drop, and glide down to the platform. Note that you probably want to go towards the adjacent area, where you won’t automatically be thrown into the fight with the boss.

How to Defeat the Flux Construct I in Tears of the Kingdom

If you’ve fought any of these bosses before, then you know the drill and should be able to easily bring them down. If not, then there’s only a single weak spot on the Flux Construct, which is a block that will glow a little bit. The first tier of the Flux Construct is definitely the easiest of the bunch, since its health is a lot lower than the other two. Also, unlike say the third tier of the boss, the Flux Construct I won’t be changing its weak point around much at all, if it does at all.

As for its attacks, it can quickly move towards you to then smash the ground, and it will also smack the ground with its one hand. At certain points, it will change forms and become a cube, where it will roll around the arena. You might also see the boss form a set of blocks in the air, where it will shoot some of them in your direction. If it does this attack, use "Recall" iconRecall on one of the blocks to reach the rest of the body in the air, where you will have access to the weak spot.

(1 of 3) The glowing block is the weak point for the Flux Construct.

The way to defeat the Flux Construct is to use "Ultrahand" iconUltrahand to grab the weak block and just keep pulling at it. Eventually, you will break apart the boss, allowing you to get a bunch of hits on it before it pulls itself back together again. Continue doing this until you have defeated the boss for good, after which, you can return to Gralens to report the kill. You will be rewarded with a "Silver Rupee" iconSilver Rupee (100 Rupees) for completing the quest, and if you do all three Unknown monster quests, you will receive a "Diamond" iconDiamond.
