The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

How to Complete Tukarok Shrine

By
Seren Morgan-Roberts

This page offers a guide on how to complete "Tukarok Shrine" iconTukarok Shrine, which is found in "Lanayru Wetlands" iconLanayru Wetlands in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Where to Find Tukarok Shrine

This shrine can be found right next to the "Wetland Stable" iconWetland Stable, which is found in the Lanayru Wetlands. During this Shrine you’ll be required to guide a large ball around the shrine to reach the end room.

Tukarok Shrine: Forward Force.

Tukarok Shrine: Ball Puzzle #1

When you first come into this shrine, you’ll find a long hallway. The door to the end of the shrine is on the left, and a large hole in the floor suggests you need to find something to place in it to unlock the door. Head to the end of it to find a drop down into a lower area. Here, you’ll find a large ball and a cart. Place the ball on the cart using ultra hand then take the cart over to the lava river to the right. Make sure to hop onto the cart and then begin it by giving it a thwack to turn on the wheels.

Use the cart to take the ball over the lava river.

The second aspect of this puzzle might appear a bit tricky at first as there’s a lot going on. There are probably a lot of creative solutions for this puzzle but we found this solution to be the easiest!

Firstly, attach the wheel to the side of the long thin plank using ultrahand. Then rest the plank on the fourth highest prong. The wheel will stop the plank from falling down. Next, attach the ball to the platform that’s attached to the zipline. You can then drag the ball and platform up to the plank and attach it. The contraption you made using the wheel and plank will stop the ball’s platform from falling back down again.

Head up the ladders and you’ll be able to use ultrahand to pull the ball off of the platform by wiggling the right analog stick Joy-Con-Stick-R-LR. You can then carry the ball into the next room!

(1 of 3) First attach the wheel to the plank of wood, and lean it on the fourth prong.

Tukarok Shrine: Ball Puzzle #2

Now that you’re in this next room, you may become overwhelmed by all the stuff in here! There are numerous ways you could go about this, but we’re going to give you the two easiest methods! We did experiment with some other crazier methods, and we recommend you have a play around with all the parts you’ve been given (if you have the time) - otherwise read on to see our easiest solutions.

But before we give you those solutions, you can use ultrahand to lift out a chest from the water - its found at the bottom of the water in between the two metal walls! It contains a "Strong Zonaite Sword" iconStrong Zonaite Sword.

There is a chest hidden at the bottom of the water!

The water current is strong, and if you place the ball on the makeshift boat in the water, you’ll notice that even when you put the wheels on, the plank of wood doesn’t actually move! Even when you put two more of the wheels on the plank it still won’t move!

The first solution is quite elegant: all you have to do is attach one of the thinner planks of wood on either side of the wheels. When the wheels spin, these thin planks of wood will too, acting like paddles that’ll be strong enough to take the ball across the water when you attach it to the plank. You can choose to make your way over with the ball or take the ladder up to the platform up above to meet the ball at the other side of the water.

The second solution you might want to try out is making a bridge out of all the various wood planks across the water. That way, you can walk across and carry the ball using ultrahand all the way to the other side.

(1 of 2) or you can just make a bridge!

or you can just make a bridge! (left), Putting wooden planks on the wheels will make paddles that push the boat (right)

When you’ve passed yourself and the ball to the other side of the water. Stand on the button near the door to open it up. You can then pass the ball through the door to the main hall of the shrine. Place the ball in the concave in the floor to open up the door to the final part of the shrine where you can obtain your "Light of Blessing" iconLight of Blessing.
