You have likely found yourself with Bubbul Gems in your inventory or at least seen a Bubbul Frog in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom. These mysterious gems are stuck in your inventory until you meet a pair of brothers and start the side adventure, The Search for Bubbul Gems. The guide below goes over what to do with Bubbul Gems, how to start the Bubbul Gem quest, and how to get the Bokoblin Mask in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom.
What Are Bubbul Gems Used For in Tears of The Kingdom
Once you make your way to Eldin, you’ve likely seen a Bubbul Frog and may even have picked up a few Bubbul Gems. To use them, though, you will need to make your way down to Pico Pond. On the other side of the lake, you will see a colorful decoration go towards it, and you will find Kilton. Soon after speaking with him, his brother, Koltin, comes running out of the cave. This will start the side adventure, The Search For Bubbul Gems. Head inside the cave to find a Bubbul Frog and make quick work of it to get a Bubbul Gem. You will want to speak with the brothers again and give the Bubbul Gem to Koltin. In exchange, he will give you a Bokoblin Mask.
The two brothers will then decide to depart on an adventure to Tarry Town, located in the Akkala Highlands. This will start the next side adventure, The Search For Koltin. If you find him, then you can exchange more Bubbul Gems for monster masks. He will appear at night on the hill north of Tarry Town or at night on the road south of Lookout Landing from here on out.
