How to Find the Ni-iraram Lightroot in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

By
Scott Peers

The "Ni-iraram Lightroot" iconNi-iraram Lightroot is located in one of the most remote areas of the Surface map in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. To find it, you first need to reach the Eventide Island Chasm, which is located on the Eventide Island in the far southeast of the Surface map. We’ll show you exactly how to get there on this page.

How to Reach the Eventide Island Chasm From Soka Point in Zelda TotK

The "Eventide Island Chasm" iconEventide Island Chasm can be seen on the map once you’ve revealed the area with the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower. However, it’s not the easiest chasm to reach since it’s located on a remote island in the far southeast of the map, known as "Eventide Island" iconEventide Island.

You can reach this island using a number of methods, but you’ll need to get creative. The most obvious and easiest method is to reach the Soka Point peninsula, which is located just west of Eventide Island. On the coast here you’ll find some tree logs, "Fan" iconFans, and a "Steering Stick" iconSteering Stick, all of which you can use to build a raft. You’ll need to be able to recharge the fans at least once to reach the island without having to jump into the water, but just one charge is enough to get you most of the way, at which point you can swim the rest.

If you don’t want to use the raft method to reach the island, you can try flying there using a Hot Air "Balloon" iconBalloon instead, but you’ll need to make sure that you bring the right materials to craft one with you, since you won’t find these lying around on the Soka Point peninsula.

Once you’re on the island, go to the northernmost point to find the Eventide Island Chasm. You need to jump down here to reach the depths, but note that there isn’t much light at the bottom of this one, so be ready to use your "Paraglider" iconParaglider sooner than you might expect. It’s a good idea to manually save your game at the top of the chasm just before you jump down, so you can start from this position again if you happen to die from falling.

How to Get to the Ni-iraram Lightroot in TotK

As you near the bottom of the Eventide Island Chasm you should keep gliding towards the southeast for as long as you can, but make sure that your stamina doesn’t run out while you’re too high in the air. You should eventually hit the ground before this happens, at which point you can drop or fire a few "Brightbloom Seed" iconBrightbloom Seeds or "Giant Brightbloom Seed" iconGiant Brightbloom Seeds to light up the area. You should begin to see the structure of the "Lone Island Coliseum" iconLone Island Coliseum at this point, including the large tower directly to the southeast. The Ni-iraram Lightroot can be found next to this, a little further to the northwest of it, so you can drop down and paraglide until you hit the bottom.

(1 of 2) You can check the surface map for this location when you’re in the depths, which is where Ni-iraram lightroot is.
