This page will navigate you through the necessary steps to finding and completing The Beast and the Princess Side Adventure in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
This is one of 12 Lucky Clover Gazette side adventures that are found by interacting with different NPCs at various stables. Before you can access any of these stable side adventures (including this one), you’ll have to speak to Traysi at the Lucky Clover Gazette outside Rito Village in the Hebra Region. You can head over to our page on All Lucky Clover Gazette side quests for more information!
Penn has heard rumors that some have seen Princess Zelda riding a mountainous beast with brutal tusks. These sightings come from all over but seem to happen more in the subtropical region in the south. You may learn the truth behind these rumors stables from the travelers who gather there.
How to Start The Beast and the Princess Side Adventure
In order to start this Side Adventure you’ll want to head over to New Serenne Stable (Map Marker) found west of Hyrule Castle in the Central Hyrule Region. Speak to Penn outside the stable and he’ll inform you that Zelda has been spotted riding around on a huge tusked beast. He says you can learn more by speaking to people staying at stables in the subtropical region to the south.
The Beast and the Princess: Where to Find the Beast
The region in question is Faron, and the stable you’ll need to travel to is Lakeside Stable (Map Marker) found near Lake Floria. When you head over there, speak with the stable hand, Shay, who can be found under a wooden gazebo near the cliff edge. He’ll tell you about how a woman called Cima is looking after some unusual animals on the other side of the river. Once you’ve finished speaking with him, paraglide over to the other side and speak with Cima.
After speaking with her, you’ll learn that the whole rumor was a big misunderstanding and Zelda had actually just been looking after these Dondon beasts who are entirely harmless and not at all ferocious looking. Penn will fly over and this will conclude the quest. You will receive a Rupees reward based on how many quests you’ve completed for the Lucky Clover Gazette!
