By
Seren Morgan-Roberts

This page offers a guide on how to complete the side adventure "The All-Clucking Cucco" iconThe All-Clucking Cucco, found at the "South Akkala Stable" iconSouth Akkala Stable in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The All-Clucking Cucco Side Adventure.

This is one of 12 "Lucky Clover Gazette" iconLucky Clover Gazette side adventures that are found by interacting with different NPCs at various stables. Before you can access any of these stable side adventures (including this one), you’ll have to speak to "Traysi" iconTraysi at the Lucky Clover Gazette outside "Rito Village" iconRito Village in the Hebra Region. You can head over to our page on All Lucky Clover Gazette side quests for more information!

How to Start The All-Clucking Cucco Side Adventure

In order to begin this side quest, you’ll need to speak to "Penn" iconPenn at the South Akkala Stable (Map Marker), found southwest of "Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower" iconUlri Mountain Skyview Tower. When you speak to Penn he’ll tell you to go and speak with the All-Clucking "Cucco" iconCucco atop the hill near the stable!

How to Get on Top of the Stable Horse Head

When you speak to the cucco atop the hill, he’ll ask you to complete two trials to answer your question. The first trial is to get on top of the stable horse head within a 45 second time limit. The best way to do this is to paraglide down to the stable, then climb up onto the roof. Then position yourself beneath the horse head so you can ascend up onto the top.

Once you’ve done that you’ll be returned to the Cucco for your second trial.

How to Cut Down 3 Logs for the Cucco

Your second trial will be to cut down 3 trees and bring up the logs up to the top of the hill. This time, you’ll get 1 and a half minutes to do this. You’ll need a durable bladed weapon (preferably an axe of course) and chop down three trees. To chop a tree down you need to cut at it from multiple angles. Then, use ultrahand to attach them together and then carry it up to the hill to offer to the cucco.

After doing these menial tasks, you’ll actually discover it was all a humiliating ruse and it was actually the Yiga Clan!

How to Defeat the Yiga Clan Soldiers

Yiga Soldiers can be quite difficult to fight when you have lower levelled weapons and fewer hearts. It is also quite tough to fight them in melee range as they’re very agile and have strong weapons. We recommend trying to shoot at them using your bow and arrow and applying buffs like fire fruit or Lightning "Chuchu Jelly" iconChuchu Jelly. Using elemental rod weapons can also be a good ranged alternative. They’re relatively weak HP-wise but can deal a lot of damage and will jump around and disappear a lot so you might find it tricky to actually hit them with your weapons. Watch out for the slam down attacks or the running charge attacks as these are the ones that’ll do the most damage! If you’re a bit stronger in terms of equipment and hearts, you could try to land some well timed hits when the Yiga come running at you or prepare to disappear!

(1 of 2) It’s a fake All-Clucking Cucco!

Once they’ve been defeated, Penn will come down to speak with you. You’ll earn some Rupees based on how many Lucky Clover Gazette quests you’ve already completed.
