The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

All Housing Expansions

By
Jessica Dillon

There are a lot of things to do in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom, including building your very own house. This was something that you could also do in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild, but this time the building system gives you a lot more creative freedom. This allows you to choose what rooms you want to use and where to place them within the housing grid. The guide below goes over every room expansion you can buy for your house, what they do, and how much they will cost you.

Buying rooms for Link’s house in Tears of The Kingdom.

All Rooms and What They Cost

There are a total of 18 different rooms that you can add to your home. You can connect these together as you like, but if you want to make a large home, you need to collect a lot of Rupees. While none of the rooms you can buy are expensive on their own, things can quickly add up when building your dream home. You can buy extra rooms as soon as you finish the Home on Arrange quest by placing the first couple of rooms that you are given for free. You also have the ability to store rooms that you aren’t using in case you want to place them in your home at a later time. Keep in mind that many of the rooms come with their own special uses. The chart below goes over each room, its cost, and what it adds to your house.

You can have multiples of the same room, which can be especially helpful if you have a lot of weapons you want to display in your home. You can easily move around rooms at any time. Keep in mind that you can only have 15 rooms at a time. This means that it’s impossible to have one of each, so you will only want to place the rooms that you need. You will get a free Foyer and Bedroom when you first start building your house, so you likely won’t need to worry about buying a second one.
