This quest begins immediately after Well-Traveled. Now that you’ve obtained some of the water from the Well of Urdr, it’s time to bring it to the builder who has pledged to protect Asgard.
Speak with the Builder
You’ll find the builder on the island just west of the Well of Urdr, not far from where you spoke with Loki. When you speak with the builder a cutscene will begin, after which you’ll need to carry a few jars of paint from the nearby pillar and place them near the builder. When you’ve placed around three jars of paint, climb atop the pillar and wait for the builder to form the barrier of protection. After this, you’ll need to lure a few Jotnar from the woods to the north and bring them to the barrier to watch them fall.
Survive the Jotnar Attack
Once a few Jotnar have perished from the barrier, it will begin to fail. At this point you’ll need to survive an attack from a large amount of Jotnar. These will include elite units such as Jotnar-Djevelen and Jotnar-Guld. The former are extremely swift and can teleport around you, while the latter are more like tough brutes wielding weapons with a long reach. Some of the regular units can inflict a highly toxic poison damage, so you would do well to avoid being hit at all costs.
You only need to survive the attack for about one minute, so you can just run around the clearing if you prefer as the builder does his work. Alternatively, use a weapon with long reach such as a spear, to inflict as much damage as possible from afar without exposing yourself too much, or climb one of the pillars and focus on using your bow. Needless to say, you’ll benefit from using any abilities which can damage multiple enemies at once here. After the fight, speak with the builder and respond to the dialogue as you wish. The outcome will be the same, regardless of what you choose, and the quest will end soon after.
