The Queen's Gambit

Scott Peers

This quest begins immediately after Sister of Sorrow. Now that you’ve assassinated Little Mother and saved queen Richardis, it’s time to bring her to King Charles.

The Queen's Gambit, Siege of Paris DLC.

Follow Queen Richardis to Lisieux

After the cutscene with Richardis, call your mount or use one of those nearby and then follow her to Lisieux. Along the way she’ll provide you with a bit of history regarding her marriage with Charles. When you arrive at Lisieux you’ll meet Bernard, the son of King Charles. and heir to the throne. You’ll have a few dialogue options in the scene that follows, but none have any impact on the story that follows, so you can choose as you wish.

Travel to Charles’ Camp with Richardis

After the scene with Bernard at Lisieux, you’ll need to travel to King Charle’s camp with Richardis. You can mount up and she’ll join you on your horse. As you ride toward the camp Richardis will stop to help a bear in distress before you can continue along the road.

When you reach the camp, a cutscene will begin during which Charles makes it clear that he only wanted his son Bernard, and doesn’t care for Richardis. At the end of the scene, Charles orders his soldiers to kill both Eivor and Richardis. You’ll need to kill a number of guards after this, but it’s nothing you can’t handle. The only guards who might cause you any trouble are the mounted ones, but you can use your bow or special abilities to deal with them from afar if necessary.

(1 of 2) Follow Richard to Lisieux and then take her to Charles' camp.
