Prioritise Putting Enemies to Sleep & Loot Chests

This one can be completed within three to four minutes. You’ll need to keep moving to ensure that any guards you’ve put to sleep don’t wake up and detect you, but you only need to worry about this mostly in the last part of the trial. You should aim to put all guards that you encounter to sleep using the Thorn of Slumber special ability, since you’ll need to do this to complete the objective. The enemies are extremely alert in this trial, so you’ll need to be extra careful to avoid being seen by using the walls, bushes, and platforms to stay out of their sight.

Loot the First Chest

The first two guards that you encounter should be easy enough to put to sleep. Just take the nearby mushrooms and move to the left of the cart. If you move to the right of the cart, the guards will have a much higher chance of detecting you. As soon as you have a clear shot on the guards from the left of the cart, shoot. They should both be put to sleep immediately by the cloud. You can then loot the chest, which is on the ground to the left of the cart.

(1 of 3) Take the mushrooms and then move to the left of the cart while crouched.

Loot the Second Chest

After looting the first chest, continue on through the trial area until you reach an archway to your right. Go through here and then wait (after using Odin’s Sight to highlight enemies) for the guard patrol to reach the guard nearest to you. The guard will arrive and then face away from you, providing the perfect opportunity for a shot without being seen. Once both guards are asleep, go into the nearby bush and shoot the two guards near the platform where the patrol came from. Once both are asleep, you can eat the nearby mushrooms and then loot the chest on the platform.

(1 of 3) Wait for the patrol to come closer to the stationary guard, then shoot both with one arrow.

Loot the Third Chest

Once you’ve looted the second chest on the platform, go through the arched door in the stone building to your right. Beyond here you’ll be able to spot three guards on the other side of the structure. Wait for the patrol to reach the nearest guard, then shoot them in the back to put them to sleep. The guard above them on the wooden platform will then jump down to investigate, so you’ll need to be quick by shooting him as soon as he lands. You can then climb the platform to loot the third chest, and eat the nearby mushrooms when you jump down.

(1 of 3) Wait for the patrol to walk near to the stationary guard, then shoot both with one arrow.

Loot the Fourth Chest & Reach the Exit

Next, you’ll need to climb the nearby ladder to your right. This will lead to the guards on the walls above, where you can jump onto a balcony to get a better view of them. Shoot those on the right first (try shooting between them to get both in the cloud), then turn left and be ready to shoot the guards on the wooden platform, just as they climb up the ladder to investigate. After shooting these two, you should have completed the objective of putting guards to sleep. All that remains now is to loot the fourth chest and leave the area. You’ll find the last chest in the corner of the walled structure where you shot the guards.

(1 of 4) Shoot the guards on your right from the balcony first.
