Aflanc the Terrible.

When you approach the area you’ll see a small crowd gathered before a woman named Griseld tied up on a rock. Her “Bad Father” is berating her, and seems to want to drown her in the river. Untie Griseld and speak with her to begin the mystery.

How to Prove the Demon Is Driftwood¶

After the dialogue with Griseld and her father, you’ll need to jump into the river and swim to the bottom where the floating driftwood is. Here you’ll find a Viking Ship Rope, which you can use as evidence to prove that there’s nothing more than a shipwreck at the bottom of the river.

Once you have the Viking Ship Rope, speak with Griseld to initiate another cutscene, at the end of which the mystery will be complete.
